Energy is a universal currency in ecology. I question what eco-evolutionary mechanisms shape the rates of acquiring and managing of that energy? I accomplished PhD in the fields of animal energetics and evolutionary ecology, and developed research on systems exposed to extreme environments, such as arid adapted animals on Sahara-Sahel. I worked on Sahara-Sahel for more then 10 years, developing network of local collaborations promoted science and education. My hypothesis driven research has focused on evolutionary-ecological and eco-physiologica questions, using small vertebrates (e.g. rodents) as model suitable for the specific questions. My research is motivated by processes shaping biological diversity, is situ experimentation, and extremities and changes of environments ( details here ).
