For the past fourteen years, I have been working on various conservation issues, including projects on human-wildlife conflict, wildlife monitoring, sustainable tourism development, and community-based development in Iran, the Caucasus, and Brazil. I received my MSc in Tourism Economics and Regional Development from the University of Algarve, Portugal, in 2016, with a thesis focused on the role of nature-based tourism in shaping local communities' attitudes toward biodiversity conservation.
After completing my studies, I returned to Iran and participated in several research projects at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany, aimed at better understanding the level of coexistence between local people and large carnivores. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon (IGOT-ULisboa).
At present, I work as a research technician at the BIOPOLIS association, where I contribute my expertise to the "Predator-Prey Model" project.
