I am a DVM with a PhD in Comparative Pathology of domestic and wild animals from the Università degli Studi di Milano in Italy. I am a Full Professor of Veterinary Pathology at the Biomedical Sciences Institute Abel Salazar of the University of Porto. My interests lie in Oncology, Wildlife Conservation, and Recovery, with a particular focus on birds and desert habitats.
