I have been responsible for environmental safeguard measures in a World Bank project in Mauritania for the past three years, following my academic training in the environmental field (PhD level). Before that, I served for three years as the Operations Manager at the environmental consultancy firm GSE, and over more than twelve years of professional experience, I have carried out various environmental-related tasks. These include the management of environmental projects, industrial monitoring and inspection, serving as an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) officer, strong involvement in environmental impact assessments, and the design and monitoring of projects with various organizations (including DECE-MEDD Mauritania, NGOs, private companies, and consulting firms), as evidenced by multiple certificates.
I also have solid experience in university teaching, having taught for over five years at universities in both Morocco and Mauritania.
I am a member and focal point of the BIODESERTS research group in Mauritania. In addition, I have participated in scientific research related to the environment, specifically in the field of Ecology and Biodiversity, as part of the BIODESERTS group. This work has led to publications in high-impact international scientific journals.
